When and Where
Monster Jam will have three Triple Threat shows at the BJCC on January 4 and 5. On Saturday, the first show will start at 1 p.m., and the second show will begin at 7 p.m. On Sunday, the event will start at 2 p.m. Admission prices start at $15, and you can order tickets online via Ticketmaster . The BJCC is located at 2100 Richard Arrington Jr. Boulevard North, Birmingham, Alabama 35203.
Monster Trucks and More
While you’re bound to see eight of the Monster Jam roster’s most infamous trucks, the Triple Threat event will also bring two other rugged classes to compete. The drivers will each hop out of their massive monsters to show off their skills in special ATV and speedster events. These nimble vehicles are built for off-road athleticism, and the drivers will put their abilities to the test as they race through timed challenges and overcome an obstacle course. Special events include time trials, head-to-head races, a freestyle segment, and a timed donut session. For the two-wheel skills challenge, drivers must bring at least two of their vehicle’s wheels off the ground.
As part of the freestyle competition, one of the seasoned competitors will attempt a backflip with their 12,000-pound monster truck. If they succeed, they will pull off the first-ever indoor stunt of its kind in Birmingham.
Meet the Drivers
On both days, the Monster Jam drivers will take some time to visit with fans at the pre-show Pit Parties. These meet-and-greet events offer the opportunity to see the athletes in person, take a photo with your favorites, and even get an autograph. Their towering monster trucks and other vehicles might also be parked nearby for a closer look. Saturday’s Pit Party will begin at 10:30 a.m., and the Sunday event will start at 11:30 a.m. Remember that you’ll need a special ticket for admission to the Pit Party.
The competitors for the Birmingham Triple Threat are Alien Invasion, Monster Mutt, Megalodon, El Toro Loco, Soldier Fortune, Max-D, Zombie, and the iconic purple and green Grave Digger.
