Come join the Birmingham Zoo’s exotic residents for an open-air tropical soiree! On the evening of May 31, the Birmingham Zoo Junior Board will host its 9th Annual Tails in the Trails event, with live music, an online auction, libations, and more.
When and Where
Tails in the Trails will be held at the Trails of Africa at the Birmingham Zoo on Friday, May 31. The event runs from 6:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. Birmingham Zoo is located at 2630 Cahaba Road, Birmingham, Alabama 35223. Early bird tickets are available until May 30 for $30 each. On the day of the event, tickets will be $40. All guests must be 21 years old and up. You can order your tickets HERE.
Tails in the Trails
The outdoor celebration will take full advantage of the warm Alabama evenings to evoke the setting of Africa, complemented by the surrounding animals. The zoo has a new interactive flamingo habitat, and you can participate in a silent auction to benefit the exhibit. Music will fill the air, courtesy of Nationwide Coverage. Guests can also commemorate the occasion with a picture from the photobooth. A dozen different restaurants will provide hors d’oeuvres, and you can also pull up to the cash bar for a little refreshment. Among the evening’s offerings, you may be intrigued by the signature Pink Flamingo cocktail whipped up for the night.
